Our Story

Question: What do you get when you take a former Reality TV producer with a master’s degree in health communication, add 10 years of insurance industry experience, and throw in a pinch (OK, 8 years) of B2B SaaS content marketing?

Answer: An expert storyteller with outstanding research and persuasive abilities, critical and creative thinking skills, and a unique talent for understanding complex topics and translating them into something people actually want to read.

Remember March of 2020?

Most people got a new pet or started making sourdough at the start of the COVID era. Always the exception to the norm, I quit a stable corporate job and founded not one, but two companies. Along with Just Add Communications, I began Leg Up Learning Solutions to bring the power of working with horses to professionals struggling with communication, leadership, teamwork, and burnout – among many other challenges.

Fast forward to 2024: Just Add Communications has served over 50 clients across projects as varied as B2B SaaS content marketing, public health interventions, website designs and refreshes, online course creation, video production, animation, podcasts, digital and print web copy, event planning, and so much more.

While my vision drives everything we do, Just Add Communications isn't a one-person show. Between employees, contractors, and an extensive network of professional partnerships, we're able to collectively deliver world-class content and communication services to companies that can't do it in-house.

We work with all industries, and are always ready to learn something new. Most of our experience spans insurance, financial services, legal, education, and the technology/software that power these industries.

Rates are very specific to the project and require a conversation to uncover the scope of work. We can work on a per-hour, per-project, or monthly-retainer-based arrangement. That said, we’re not the cheapest option out there, but firmly believe you get what you pay for. 

We’re proud to be quick and efficient workers. Although we work on long-term projects that span months, or even years, the majority of our content takes a few days to a few weeks to deliver.
